You may have seen alot of activity at Lismore Bike Park over the weekend, we had the go-ahead from the council to remove some trees that we have been working around for the last few years and on Friday afternoon Fulton Hogan and the Lismore Logging gang removed the offending timber.
Everything went smoothly and according to plan, the logs will be going to the Luggate sawmill and the timber will be used to build features at the park.
The jump lines in the middle of the park will be closed for a few more days but we are hoping to have "the 4ths" open for a session on Anzac day. All you keen dirtjumpers please be patient and respect the diggers by staying out of the park and off the jumps until we have them up and running again, why not come down and help out if you want to be riding sooner.
A massive thanks to Dan and the Bike Wanaka Lismore crew, Kris and Craig from Fulton Hogan and Brett from Foley plumbers, we can't keep expanding and evolving the park without the on-going support of these dedicated locals.
