If you have a smart phone with gps a great little free app called STRAVA can be downloaded. You can record your rides and set segements within those rides for other people to time trial against. lots of other neat little features as well check it out on your phone or on line. Cheers, Mark.

Hi Everyone, its coming up to that time of the year again- Next weekend January the 26th THE BIG EASY mtb race and mountain marathon in Wanaka.
This year we have included a couple of "softer options where you can finish at the Lake McKay woolshed (bottom of the big downhill) and not bother with the 12km of cross country back to the Albert town tavern

Last's night AGM was well attended with 22 members of the club and community - thank you for your support.
The board elected a number of new committee members and Jamie Greenway was elected the new President.
Mark Gould who has been on the committee for the last 5 years resigned from the board and the role of President to spend more time with his family.
Mark has been an enormous part of the club and a major reason why the club is where it is today. He has put countless hours into so many aspects of the club and has been the major driving force behind numerous new trails (some still to be built soon) and races which we now enjoy here in Wanaka. Two of his biggest achievements must be the creation of the Dean's Bank trail which has proved so popular (50,000 laps were recorded in the last year) and the 10 hour Dean's Bank race where 470 riders raced this year. This is the tip of the iceberg of what Mark has done and under his guidance he leaves the club financially more secure, with a stronger understanding of the way forward.
The Bike Wanaka Committee, Bike Wanaka members, the Wanaka community and anyone who throws a leg over a bike in Wanaka would like to offer our heartfelt thanks for all you have done for us.
